The M Mayan hammocks are ample sprang-woven hammocks produced in the Yucatan, Mexico. Woven with colorful nylon string, these classic Mayan hammocks or hamacas are light weight, colorful, airy and designed for crossways use. As the basic string material is factory produced, the fabrication work on these Mayan hammocks is simplified and the resulting product is quite economical and well suited to a variety of uses. These hammocks are without spreader bars and are not for use in low-attach, up-from-floor hammock stands, and as with all hammocks, are most comfortable and safe with a high end attachment to produce a pleasing and safe catenary angle.
The Mayan Hammocks are made with Nylon String (the manufacturer calls them Rope). These are Sprang Woven, a Viking Term for a hand woven process that does not use a loom. As this process has no cross-weave "fixed" width. The comfort factor of these hammocks is the number of length-wise fibers - more of these = more comfort, less of these = reduced comfort.
So the important stats are bed length, which is fixed, weight of hammock which is a mark of comfort, and the overall length of hammock which includes the end support arms. The Mayan #3 Single Size = 1.8 Lbs - Bed Length = 88 In - Overall length = 160 In.
